This site is dedicated to the memory of Betty Platt.
Betty Platt was born in Lancaster on February 03, 1928. She will be remembered as a warm hearted and generous lady who wore love and joy with ease. Betty found the last eighteen months of her life since her stroke difficult... She had loved being an independent lady. We thank friends, relatives, neighbours, and the staff of Laurel Bank nursing home for helping her through a challenging time.

Yasmin Greenwell (nee Ashraf) Sue's dear friend from childhood.
Betty was an integral part of my childhood and the happy memories of Sue and her mum on long sunny summer days of cake and walks down the canal stay with me still. Betty was the matriarch of Brook Street, full of life and laughter. It was an idyllic time and she is sadly missed by all who knew her. Lots of love Yas xxx
